Please do use Try xpath as Firefox stopped the support for firebug

Firebug is an add on to the Firefox, it enables the user to see the html code of the web page.

What ever the build code finally the webpage will be rendered in html code only.

For example : an webpage is developed using SAP but how to handle it with selenium ???

It is simple just check the webpage whether the code is developed by SAP, nopes ..if you check the source you will see only html nothing else because webpage will be rendered in html only.



2.Some webpages gives an customized right click like email (gmail,yahoo,hotmail) you might see options like open,copy,move,mark as read,mark as un read,delete ..but you will not see inspect element option or view source options.

Install Firebug

Follow Below Steps to Install FireBug:

    1.Open Firefox

    2.Go to Options

    3.Click Add-ons





    4.Click On Get Add Ons

    5.Enter "FireBug" in the right top corner search box





    6.Hit Enter Key

    7.On the results select Install Button on the firebug Result





    6.It start and completes installation in seconds the you can close the Add-On Manager Window.



Inspect Webpage



First Way
1.In firefox on the right hand top corner you can see a bug like icon

2.Click that bug icon



3.Now an window pops at the bottom

4.Select Rectangular with cursor icon and navigate on the webpage,it will highlight webelements with blue box



5.Now the bottom window will show you the source according to the element on which you are placing your cursor

6.Click on any web-element and then analyse the source

Second Way
1.Right Click on the element and select Inspect Element with Firebug.

7.After restart click on the firebug icon,now it will pop a window at the bottom,In same window you can find Firepath at the End.





7.If Firepath does not exist there,then goto Tools->FireBug->Visible Panels-> enable Firepath.
