Installing/Managing Packages in UiPath Studio

A package is a namespace that organizes a set of related classes and interfaces. Conceptually you can think of packages as being similar to different folders on your computer. You might keep HTML pages in one folder, images in another, and scripts or applications in yet another.

If you want to do a specific kind of automation or programming, then you have to download or use those packages to do that automation.

  1. For example, if you want to do PDF-related automation then you have to download the PDF-related Packages from Manage packaging.
  2. Go to UiPath Studio and click on Manage packages
  3. Select Official option
  4. Search for PDF packages from UIPath as shown below
  5. Select the required package(UiPath.PDF.Activities) then the UiPath.PDF.Activities wizard will open
  6. Select the latest stable version of the required package(UiPath.PDF.Activities)
  7. Click on the Install button
  8. After installing the package
  9. If any new versions are available then UiPath will prompt for Update package.
  10. Once the package installed successfully click on the Save button and then accept the license.

Now, the PDF package has successfully installed in your workflow, go to activities and search for PDF-related activities, you will find all the PDF-related activities downloaded as a part of the PDF package.
